My "platform" is that we continue to BEE Truth or Consequences.
Balance is a part of our history and continues to be our strength.
Economy is especially important during these tough economic times. We could economize on many levels in order to affod to provide a wide range of programs that
Ethics are especially important during tough economic times, because the city government cannot make any real progress until the steps are legal.
The "planks" in my platform will balance the economy and ethics.

Myrna Kohs, in her oxygen-deprived column, equated women to lunatics and designated them as property of their husbands. Now we know how she sees herself.
The New Mexico Constitution, however, in the Bill of Rights (Article 2, Sec. 18) specifically states that gender is not a reason to discrimate. The New Mexico State Statutes agree that a woman is NOT a piece of property.
Stagner's daughter switched her voter's registration to Elephant Butte, recently, so that she could run for office. I don't hear anyone questioning her. Of course, she likes to Kareoke about abusive use of baseball bats, too, which I'm sure deters questions of any sort.
Ruffini still holds a seat on our quasi-judicial citizen's board, usurping a vote as unabashedly non-resident. Neither newspaper has a problem with that violation of the US Constitution's 14th Amendment and the NM Constitutions Article 2, Sec 18.
Because the Herald and Sentinel single me out for harrassment, I believe that the newspapers go on about this non-issue simply to avoid the real issues in our City Commission. Some Commissioners believe that the term “illegal” means a “sick bird”.

A certain Commissioner behaved in a perverted manner, and asked me how often I slept at home. He also gave me more titles than Queen Elizabeth has bestowed upon her entire kingdom. Much like my hometown, I'm balanced, and so the godfathuh accused me of being both a moonbat and a wingnut. That means I'm truly non-partisan. This is a non-partisan election .There are almost as many jokes about Commissioners as there are about lawyers. I like jokes, unless he is re-elected.
Our City spends way too much per captia if City employees have time to profile Citizens as something they're not, simply because Commissioners fear them.
Code enforcement even had to commit fraud to even come close to charging me with a code violation. All 6 people that Code Enforcement harrassed were unimpressed. The Code Enforcement Officer, on the other hand, became sick with guilt and missed a lot of work. I challenge these parties to justify their harrassment of good citizens, a violation of my rights to equal treatment (Amendment 14 of the US Constitution) and a violation of NMSA 30-3A-2.

This week's Herald, as usual, gives me top billing in Sloan's article on page 3. I keep trying to thank them for that, but Tooley is hung up on censoring me. So I am resigned to other venues to let them know that I appreciate the celebrity status allotted to me by the Tabloid of T or C.
Recently I challenged Sloan on why she incites people with misinformation. She hid behind Tooley, saying the editor changes her articles. Another time, she claimed she was bored. The Sentinel's motivations are discussed under 1/29/10
Even Sloan knows how to look up court cases for free at http://www.conwaygreene.com. Now let's take a look at the laws concerning my residency:
1) My address has been the same on my voter registration since 1993.
2) The City Clerk and the County Clerk both certified me as a qualified elector. (NMSA 3-8-2.12 and 15)
3) Residency does not change due to marraige. (NMSA 1.1.7.J)
4) Residency does not change when one keeps returning to ones' residence. ( NMSA 1.1.7.G)
5) The winner must be able to take the oath of office in order to take office, and that occurs 6 days after the election. So a candidate must be a qualified elector to take office, according to the Courts of New Mexico. I am a qualified elector.
The courts said: "[T]here is . . . a constitutional mandate to which we must yield, that one which says that the person receiving the highest number of votes shall be elected to office."
(Darr v Village of Tularosa et al 1998-NMCA-104)
It boils down to this: If I'm on the ballot, then I'm certified as a resident. If there is still a question after the election, then the District Court or the Secretary of State can get involved.

A writer asked if I should be privy to city information. This is my answer:
There are no City secrets. All City records are subject to the Inspection of Public Records Act.
The same writer asked if it would be a conflict of interest for the City Attorney to represent me if I were on the City Commission. Obviously the writer has not seen Rubin's work. Rubin is currently representing 2 sides of a contract that he helped write. If the parties are happy with the arrangement, then there is no problem. That's what "waivers" are for.
The quality of representation by the City Attorney leads me to take an active part in cases. I've known him a long time, so I know that we are better off thinking for ourselves.
There are 3 kinds of Commissioners:
City Commissioners can request opinions of judges and the attorney general at no cost and get an immediate response. The Executive Branch must wait months or years. Since members of the Executive branch file in court in order to get legal opinions from a judge, it would be much less expensive and progress in a more timely fashion when I am a City Commissioner.
The City has had some 60 suites filed against it. I am merely a drop in the bucket. I have filed 2 appeals and one suit. The suit is to make the City and TV TorC provide copies of City meetings to the library in order to archive important local history. Corruption is the problem and I am a part of the solution. I want to know why more people aren't involved in keeping their government in line.
All of the suits have finished pleadings. Some have even finished with oral arguments. I partnered to help other people have their day in court, as requested by hundreds of petitioners. None of the cases need me to complete, so I can withdraw if necessary.
